Taylor is one!

Taylor Lynn Rupprecht is a happy, sweet baby with the most contagious smile! She was born on a hot summer day in Arizona a year ago. Today she's celebrating a new year of life at her cooler home in Northern California. I didn't get to meet Taylor Bug until a few months ago, but I knew her when she was still in her mommy's belly. Jennifer worked with my husband in Phoenix and we were pregnant at the same time.

We moved to Sacramento before Taylor Bug was born, but Jennifer and I stayed in touch via Facebook. One day she told me her husband, Paul, got a job opportunity in California and they were moving the family our direction! Now we meet in the middle once a month for play time and mommy time. Taylor Bug and my daughter, Laken, love their playdates but they don't necessarily like to share their toys. :)

She didn't like getting messy

Jennifer scheduled Taylor's one year photo shoot a month before her birthday so she could use the pictures for invites and share them at her party. I thought that was such a great idea! She was super prepared and I was very impressed with her craftiness. She made a couple banners, painted a number one, made some chalkboard frames and brought multiple outfits, bows, a tiara and a smash cake! Taylor looked just gorgeous and didn't mind all the outfit changes. We had so much fun trying to make her smile, which wasn't too hard because the girl is all grins! I also learned when all else fails, just use your phone to turn on some tunes. Taylor loved that, but unfortunately didn't love her cake. We tried to get smash cake photos at the end of the session, but she was tired and didn't like the messy frosting. Do you blame her?! Jennifer told me that she now loves cake and frosting and devoured her cupcake at her birthday party! The session was just before Father's Day so we also snuck in a few Father's Day photos without Paul even knowing it! ;)

I'm so happy Taylor, Jennifer and Paul are in California now and the girls can grow up together! Maybe one day they'll learn to share. Happy birthday dear Taylor. This day is all about you!

Lots of Love,

Courtney
